LEAD-ECI Awarded Grant from The Community Foundation of Muncie & Delaware County

February 23, 2010 - The Board of Directors of The Community Foundation of Muncie & Delaware County recently awarded LEAD-ECI with a generous grant of $4,200.00.  The endowed funds will be applied towards the tuition scholarships that LEAD-ECI offers to employees of nonprofit organizations. These funds will allow twelve non-profit participants to attend LEAD-ECI's spring 2010 leadership training program at half price.

Richard Crist, Executive Director of LEAD-ECI, expressed his gratitude for the grant.  "Without the generous community support we receive from our sponsors and in this case, from The Community Foundation of Muncie & Delaware County, we would not be able to offer the quality programs we do. We are confident that this investment will go a long way in equipping our area's emerging non-profit leaders with the skills and motivation necessary to serve as catalysts of positive change within our communities."

LEAD-ECI is free-standing leadership institute where people of all ages, backgrounds and interests can access the tools necessary to develop and/or enhance their leadership skills. The organization grew out of an identified need to grow, nurture and sustain leadership for the benefit of East Central Indiana. LEAD-ECI is headquartered at the Innovation Connector facility in Muncie, Indiana.
