LEAD-ECI Announces New Board Member Training Workshop Entitled All Aboard

June 1, 2010; Muncie, IN - LEAD-ECI, East Central Indiana's Leadership Training Institute, recently announced that it will offer a new board member training workshop entitled All Aboard.   The first All Aboard workshop will take place on June 23, 2010, from 8:00 to 11:00 am at the Innovation Connector in Muncie, Indiana.  

Intended for both aspiring and current board members, All Aboard will provide insights related the basic responsibilities of a board member, an overview of the personal qualities of effective board members, as well as guidance to help aspiring board members choose the right board to serve on.

The workshop will be facilitated by Janice Replogle, Director Emeritus of Undergraduate Programs at Ball State University''s Miller College of Business.  In addition to her 21 years of service at Ball State University, Janice has served as a board member and board president for the United Way of Delaware County as well as the Indiana Association of United Ways (IAUW).  Since her retirement, Janice has been working for the Indiana Nonprofit Resource Network consulting with nonprofits to enable them to be more effective and efficient as they work within their communities.

All Aboard will also include a panel discussion that features the following local nonprofit executives:  Monique Armstrong from Motivate Our Minds, Carrie Bale from Huffer Children''s Center, Becki Clock of Christian Ministries, and Toni Estep from Open Door Health Services.

LEAD-ECI is free-standing leadership institute and a registered 501(c)(3) organization where people of all ages, backgrounds and interests can access the tools necessary to develop and/or enhance leadership skills. The organization grew out of an identified need to grow, nurture and sustain leadership for the benefit of East Central Indiana. LEAD-ECI is headquartered at the Innovation Connector facility in Muncie, Indiana.
